Recent Pictures – Golden Acre, Fountains Abbey and others…
I need to get better at keeping up to this, so there’s a few posts rolled into one here. As part of my new year ‘get fit’ resolution, I’ve been going to the gym for about 90 minutes five times a week. On one of the other days, Cameron and I have been going out

My Year in Pictures
Well as it’s coming to the end of the year, I guess it’s time to start writing all those ‘year in review’ type posts. First up is a collection of my favourite pictures from the year, it’s been a busy year with lots of awesome memories made and lots of pictures taken!

Dear Mum
Although I don’t usually take much notice of them, I keep an eye on the Daily Post from WordPress which aims to give you blog inspiration for when you’re stuck what to write. Today’s is ‘Dear Mom‘, a prompt to write a letter to your mum to tell her what you have always wanted to

Leeds German Market in Millennium Square
I’ve been having a tough couple of weeks at work, so when I had a day off yesterday (although not the original 2 and a half that I had planned), Cameron took me into Leeds for lunch and some Christmas shopping. I’ve never been to the German Market before, so that was our first stop.

Vicky’s Graduation – Very Proud Big Sister!
It seems like a long time since my little sister Vicky graduated from Sheffield Hallam University (2:1 in Business), but today was finally her graduation. We all took way too many pictures (which Vicky wasn’t happy about), but I’ve picked a few of my favourites to upload for now. I can’t wait to see the official

Golden Acre Park – A Very Autumnal Walk
I felt like I needed some fresh air this morning after being inside for most of the week, so I went up to one of my favourite places, Golden Acre Park in Leeds. I went a bit later than I normally go and it was quite busy with pushchairs and dogs, but not so busy

Bonfire Night
A few pictures from an awesome night at Cameron’s house last night for his annual bonfire party. Amazing food cooked by his mum and his aunt, an awesome fire and lots of really cool fireworks. Although a couple of misdirections which were pretty scary, but it was great to have a few glasses of wine

#IStandUpFor
For the World Series this year, MLB is partnering with a different charity for each game, and the first game is partnered with Stand Up 2 Cancer. Not as well known in the UK until last Friday, but I wrote a little post on it last year. MLB have invited everyone to fill in this

Proud as a Proud Thing in Proud Town
Yesterday was Cameron’s graduation; after four years of hard work, he finally became an alumnus of Huddersfield University. Even though it involved waking up at 6.15am to get ready, it was a great day. The weather stayed nice for the most part (although a bit windier than I would have liked when wearing a dress

No, I’m not married!
For my birthday this weekend, I went on holiday with Cameron to Whitehaven. It’s a lovely place in the lake district right next to the sea. We stayed at a Premier Inn again which was pretty nice (even if the restaurant was a bit disappointing), but it was awesome to get away for a few

Scarborough and Whitby – Typical English Weather!!
When I realised that the Jubilee would give us two bank holidays in a row I decided to take the rest of the week off work. Cameron finished his final exams at uni a couple of weeks ago, so I booked us a little holiday as a celebration. We stayed at the Premier Inn in

Ron Pope and Zach Berkman at Union Chapel
This weekend was my trip to London with Frank to see Ron Pope and Zach Berkman at Union Chapel. We stayed at the same hotel as last time, which was probably a mistake. Booking a hotel 2 tube stops from Wembley on the day that Blackpool are playing West Ham in what I assume was

Golden Acre Park – 12th May
It’s been a while since I’ve been to Golden Acre so on Saturday morning I went up for a walk with my Dad. I think I would probably call Golden Acre one of my favourite places, its so peaceful early in the morning when there’s not many people there, and it’s so familiar from my

Wow! Il Divo just blew my mind!
Just got home from Sheffield where I went to see Il Divo with my Dad. It was officially my Dad’s Christmas present, but I only really said that to justify spending £65 a ticket and I really really wanted to go! We went to see them live 3 years ago in Manchester, and I’m very glad I

A Weekend in London – and Ron Pope!!
This weekend, Frank and I went to London, primarily to see Ron Pope on Saturday night, but also to have a walk round and see all the touristy places as he’d never really been to London before. I’d booked a hotel in Kenton, mainly because it was cheap (£64 for two of us for two nights).
