Now Reading: Nicholas Sparks – The Lucky One

the-lucky-one-nicholas-sparks-e1336408994993It’s no secret that I love Nicholas Sparks, I don’t think I’ve ever read one of his books that I didn’t like. Although I said that about Charlaine Harris and I’ve been disappointed with the last books I’ve read. This is one of the few Nicholas Sparks books that I’ve not read yet, and when I saw a trailer for it at the cinema I knew I needed to read the book before I go see the film.

The only bad thing about buying a book so close to the film coming out is that it is hard to find one with a nice cover. Instead, I’ve had to settle for one with Zac Efron and generic blonde woman (whatever her name is). I am a sucker for a book with a nice cover, but it’s whats on the inside that counts, so lets hope the book is good! Then I can drag Cameron to see the film with me (or at least I can try)! ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Thanks for the like on my site, I’m curious to see what you’re reading (although I have to admit I probably won’t be reading this book!). Have a good day, God Bless

    1. Not a chick-lit fan then?! Don’t worry, it’s not all chick-lit, I read pretty much everything ๐Ÿ™‚

      1. That’s good to hear ๐Ÿ™‚ I will admit, I have been a fan of a (larger) number of chick flics… but not the books. You will see my weakness on my site as I go on though, a lot of crummy sci-fi or spy novels!

  2. haha. it is so true. you can never get a classy cover once they make a movie. and it is kinda weird to watch zac efron and “generic blonde woman” make out every time you want to open your book. : )

    1. Yep, it’s definitely weirding me out right now! Thankfully the book is good enough that I’m spending more time with my nose inside it rather than having it staring at me from the table!

    1. I’m really liking it so far! I want to hurry up and finish it so I can go see the film – I just hope it will live up to how much I’m liking the book!
