Part of this bible verse popped into my head on the way home from work tonight:

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

It’s highlighted and marked in my bible as it’s one of my favourites, and I’m glad that it came into my head today, as I think it was needed. Philippians 4 is one of my favourite chapters, and also contains my favourite verse, 4:13

I can do all things through God who gives me strength.

I got an email tonight from YouVersion, telling me ‘Great work keeping up with your reading plan‘. I’m guessing it’s just a standard system generated email, as it should really have said ‘Get your act together and catch up‘.

I’ve not been doing too well keeping up to it at the moment – I’ve not had time before work, and get too distracted at lunch time to concentrate on what I’m reading. I’m going to start getting up a little earlier to give me time to read and absorb. I’m currently about 30 days behind, but I’m hopeful that I can catch up.

I’m really enjoying reading through the whole Bible, I’m finding a lot of verses that I’ve either never read before, or have read and not taken in, so I’m looking forward to continuing and making some progress.
